How data works here.

What I collect

What you give me, plus a simple visitor record (explained below). The contact form takes your name, email, optional phone, budget range, and message. Stripe checkout collects payment information directly. I never see or store credit card numbers.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not run third-party tracking or advertising scripts, and MattCreates sets no cookies. The one exception is the shop page: it loads Stripe’s checkout script, and Stripe sets its own fraud-prevention cookies (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) to keep payments secure. Those belong to Stripe and fall under stripe.com/privacy.

Visitor record: Your browser keeps a random visitor ID in local storage (not a cookie), along with a list of the pages you view here. The site sends that ID and page list to my own server. If you type your name, email, phone, or budget into a form on this site, that is saved to the same record when you move to the next field, even before you press Submit.

If you use the day/night toggle, your choice is remembered in your browser for the current session only. The optional ?theme=day|night query-string overrides the visual mode for that page load.

Where data lives

Contact form submissions and the visitor record go to my own server on Linode (in the United States) via the mattebersole.com Express API. Stripe handles all payment data per their own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Who I share it with

Nobody. Your data is for the project we work on together. I do not sell, lease, or trade contact information. I do not share it with marketing partners because I do not have marketing partners.

Your rights

Email intake@mattcreates.com to request deletion of anything I have on you. I’ll confirm within 7 days.
